Intersubband Polariton-Polariton Scattering

Together with partners from Germany, France and Italy, we investigated ultrafast scattering dynamics of intersubband mid-infrared polaritons. Our novel experimental apparatus specifically designed for angularly resolved ultrafast spectroscopy of microcavities enabled us to observe stimulated scattering directly in the polaritonic bandstructure. Future experiments may exploit this mechanism to explore Bose-Einstein-condensation for novel quantum light sources, or on-chip quantum devices.
